Microphones and piezo pickups make use of a resonant surface and this
can lead to noise and feedback especially when amplifying low-end. Regular guitar pickups are wide range and not tuned to a specific frequency
like the PorchBoard Bass1.
The PorchBoard Bass
sounds the same no matter what else is on the stage
because it does not pick up the sound of other sources.
